Uxbridge is 68 kilometers from Toronto but feels like a whole other world with its unique landscapes. This quiet town sits to the north of the bigger towns and cities in the Durham Region. To the south are Ajax, Whitby, and Pickering. Uxbridge being placed in the middle of bigger communities allows the town to cater to those who would rather live in a small town. The first people to settle in the area were a group of Quakers. The Quakers built the oldest building in Uxbridge. Uxbridge has an up-and-coming real estate market in the GTA.
